Can we have an appearance of our hero further south and west, somewhere like Telford would suit Dave and me I guess? Maybe we can clone him and each area could have their own Harry Gill festival, I’m sure that there must be plenty of him to go around. Norman could take charge of the Midlands area, Dave could do Wales and the Borders, Berwick and CG the North West,Carryfast would control the South East, just need the South West and East Anglia sorting!

Dave, do you really think that Harry would come down country and leave his beloved missus to fight off the hordes of groupies outside Gill Tower’s on her own? No, he is far too much a Gentleman to do that to the Lady, not even the offer of free booze would persuade him to stray far. We will have to make do with the calendar and just dream of what might have been I’m afraid.

Will “The Club” be holding it’s first AGM at Newcastle Labour Club on the 29th of next month ? Member No 12.
If Nozzer is in charge of the entertainment will he be booking Harry’s favourite group “The Billy Cotton Band Show” .
What is the “Legal” capacity of the Labour club? are we sure the venue is big enough to hold all the HGFC members ?(sounds like a Sunday morning Pub side !),If the AGM can be held at the Labour club it should prove to be their biggest pay day ever,since Harold Wilson visited ! Just in case the AGM is oversubscribed I have had a word with Mike Ashley and he would be prepared to re-schedule the matches at St.Jamses Park to accomodate this new phenonomen on Tyneside.Then,of course,if the Commitee (Ding,ding dong, give order thank you please!!) really wanted to go up market the AGM could always be switched to the Stadium of Light,but the Geordie contingent may not be made very welcome I suppose,but us lads from all other parts would be welcomed with “open arms”,they are very nice people the Wearsiders !!!
