Dave on cateract, it, a load of bunkem, there is no right time, you don’t need to let it mature, it’s all a question of money, if you had the price to have it done private, you could have it done today, prices range between £1500 to £3500 depending what area you live, and you can push to have it done if you are employed also if you drive. my daughter had a dis connected retina which she was rush in to had done, they told her she had cateract which was at a early stage, but would accelorate because of the eye opperation, she had it in Nov 2011, she had careract op in Aug, but 20% have cloudy outer skin after they put lens in, my daughter had it, last Thursday she went back to Oxford to laser a hole in the outer skin so she can see through it, she can see, but waiting to see how good her sight will be, she may need to have glasses. Myself I saw my consultant and told him it was spoiling my way of life, affecting my bowls & snooker, he checked my eyes and put me on the waiting list. I will check with them how long the waiting list, if it’s too long, I will go private, I have been told £1,500 or a couple of hundred under it, Ladbroke will have paid for it.
hiya,
Norm, I’ve stopped investing in Ladbroke’s my returns were rubbish on
a par wth my brewery shares, I get zero returns, I still await some info
from you Norm on how to line my pockets but after you’ve cleaned them
out there’d be nowt left for me to pick up, I might just take up bowling
or snooker might make a few bob “husteling”, times is hard and Xmas too.
thanks harry, long retired.
you will have heard the old saying , money always goes to money harry , better leave the gee gees alone and stick with what you enjoy and let the rich southerners back the horses . if you were to start bowling you would probably put your back out anyway , so you wouldn’t make any profit from your bed and you wouldn’t be able to reach the bottle . stick with what you know and stay poor and happy . cheers , dave

£1500 is a decent price for the job done privately, sister-in-law paid £2500 per eye 2 years ago, Spire Hospital, Elland. 100% success.

In my case Norm, what I meant abut the time of having my cataract removed is when it stops my eye being examined. That’s what the optician told me,he said it will only need removing when it stops us examining your eye,as its my lazy eye.
Cheers Dave.

Should that read 19yr old Ang ?
hiya,
Dave I think Ang has said before that her Mam was born on the 29th February
hence Ang only needs to open her ■■■■■ every fourth year for her a present,
thanks harry, long retired.
My old gaffer had his cateract done at 82 which was very handy as he lived at number 78 so only a short walk home afterwards, they also did it while he waited which was a bonus.
Pete.

Did he have to keep an eye out for the opticians.
