From the research I’ve done, overtime is not included unless it is guaranteed overtime and you have no choice but to do it
Nice work if you can get it, or keep it.
here you go …simple

I’ve yet to find a firm which pays more than 40 hours at standard rate for a week’s holiday. Seems like some drivers are being spoilt while others are being shafted. Nothing changes
no, it’s called drivers who can read
are FIGHTING FOR WHAT IS RIGHT
we’re mobile workers, with no set hours and we need to be paid what we are OWED
Ta! See if it gets him anywhere.

Worst bit is when in the previous 12 weeks you get short weeks, pay is still average over 5 days even if you only work 1 day.
no what you do is work you’re knackers off, then hit them with it! if they do that to you, all drivers stick together and take half of feb and march off at the same time!
they want you to work for them, then not pay what you’re entitled to
WORK HARD, PLAY HARD ring a bell
flightglobal.com/news/articl … rt-362104/ this is what the union was waiting for at stobrats once I’d read about the 12 weeks previous
a couple of lads took stobrats to court who paid up ( at Trafford park, stoke and Appleton ) but it’s all in the hands of a London barrister!
George@ASDA driver:
average from last 12 weeks inc premiumsas it should be!
even in this country where holiday pay is as rare as rocking horse poop it is mostly paid as an average for the entire year including any bonuses or extras you earned.
Holiday pay worked out as an average of hours is a fiddle. It’s all too easy to manipulate someone’s hours so their holiday pay is crap when it’s based on “averages”.
Think about it: You work 13 weeks solid, 48 hours a week @ say, £10ph, and then it’s Jan-March so you find yourself getting nowt for the next 13 weeks. Come april, and that Easter Break you had planned - guess what? Your previous 13 week average is ZERO so you get ZERO holiday pay, despite working your arse off during the last three months of the previous year.
You’ve been robbed plain, and simple. Even a full time job that SACKED you on January 1st would give you about 1 week’s holiday pay as severance.
Now, I thought we were all supposed to show 4 week’s STAT LEAVE on our yearly driving… that is, 20 days worth. If you don’t get paid holiday, then you’ve effectively been laid off, and the DSS should be asking big questions of why employers are running such a fiddle… It shouldn’t be for the state to supplement people’s missing holiday pay. It’s enough that we’ll use 'em to top up minimum wages in a semi-skilled job, but there you go. I don’t think automatic transmission, power steering, and comfy cabs are part of any conspiracy to push down our wages by the way.
Let’s NOT hear it from those who think we SHOULD be on minimum wage “because the job is easier than prior generations” blah blah blah. So is everyone else’s job in case no one noticed!
You don’t see middle class people’s jobs get ■■■■■■ about as much as the transport industry has over the past decade!
We get our holiday pay for the previous year in our January pay. They just multiply your total earning for the year by a figure (think its 0.1something). Works well for us as you get a decent lump to cover the quiet months
Outs is paid at a day rate, it would be better if it was a average for me.

Nothing changes
Every car delivery firm I’ve worked for pays average earnings for holiday pay, based on the last 13 weeks pay.
