Not sure what beast you’re on about. It’s going to get a little colder middle of the week as the high slips to the west allowing Northerly’s down the east coast but there’s no weather to shout about until the weekend . . . and that’s only wind and rain. 
Load of BS…Met office website showing mild temperatures and no snow/ice or even coldness upto the 13th January.
My local rag is also predicting Snowmageddon for next week:
