"The Beach" .. Calais

So now the story continues. The train / migrant incident was on Tuesday and I shipped out again on Thursday. I tipped and loaded before my return via Sea France on Friday. I arrived at the port at about 16.30 and went through the scanner and then a French CO2 check.

I had another CO2 check by UK Borders and asked them about Tuesdays incident, whatever we do, she said it was down to the drivers to check thoroughly. even though I was clean as I passed their control zones.

So Im free to drive around to my lane to board the 1805 NPDC whis was on the berth. As i drove around there was a truck blocking the lanes. I let him move and parked behind the others. As I completed my paperwork, I noticed a movement behind. I wasnt sure but I thought I saw a person running. I continued watching, then felt a movement, maybe air suspension settling, or some one in the trailer. I went round as 2 cars came screeching to a halt with French security men. One shouted something and a quite clean youth climbed out from under the trailer. This one was definately of African origin and was wearing a rasta mans hat. By this time the CRS were on the case and demanding to know how he had got onto the docks

I grabbed my phone and took a picture as an officer hit my arm and knocked the camera. All I got was a picture of his boots.

So for my good deed for this week I have had 2 migrants, both within the British secure zone of Calais, one on the dock, one at the Tunnel. The first one escaped and the second one was released as I was threatened with arrest by CRS for filming the incident.

The job isn’t worth a carrot anymore.

Okey-Didley-Dokely:
What a nasty thing to do, granted they should not be trying to get ion to our country illegally, but to take his last money and all his personal belongings, you should have found a gendarme, there are plenty about that area, handed them to the authorities tpo deal with,

They live in abject poverty and they, most of them, want a better life for their famillies.

A great cliche’ on here is familly comes first and that is what they are all about.

REMEMBER, THE SUN IS A TABLOID NOT A NEWSPAPER

Your a lentil boiler with a comment like that, yes there are plenty of Gendarmes, they just ask them to leave the dock so they can try later to get in another trailer.

Until a driver has killed one or been killed, nothing will be done.

Dont mention families, the wives and children are left starving at home with bowls of rice and carrying 5 gallon drums of water on their heads, while the blokes are sat around smoking ganja and making bombs.

JB,

Give it to the JB Charity Mate!

KEEP ON TRUCKING MA’ MAN!!!

Only had a "clandestine moment " once. Stopped in Pidous to do a bit of shopping, was only in there about 5 mins. After i loaded the stumpies, off i go, North up the A16 towards Dunkirk when i hear a banging - sounded like it was on the cab roof but it was a bit windy so i put it down to the air deflector rattling.
Couple of Ks later it got louder, looks in the mirror and notices some git hanging off the catwalk waving at me so after the initial shock i wave back.
I thought “I"II teach you a lesson ,your"e going to Belgie you gimp” but then i thought,. . .if he pulls the red line ime knackered so common sense prevails and i put the hazards on ,move to the hard shoulder and slow to a crawl. He waves as if to say thanks and as hes about to jump off i floored it,
from what i could see it looked like he caught his foot between the diesel tank and the air tanks and i dragged him a fair way before he broke free. I was laughing all the way to Jabbeke,we always "done our shopping "on the way out.

whats so laughable about dragging an undesirable up the road.?why not stop and kick him up the rear end and send him on his way and leave it at that?

“Absolutely Blinding” Mate!!

What has this country come to ay!! Dont start me off about this

Jeez you’ve got more bottle than me, if I had done something like that and killed a bloke it would stay with me for the rest of my life. Whatever grief and inconvenience, not to say cost, these clandestines cause drivers, it is not through malice only through a desire for a better life and who amongst us would not do the same in similar circumstances?
I’m fully behind Wheelnut and his actions and fully understand his depression but I have only one word for your behaviour - despicable.

Yea, your right. With hindsight what i should have done was pulled over at the first oppurtunity, let him get off and made him a quick brew whilst apologising for taking him “the wrong way” :unamused:
And then see him safely onto the s/b carrigeway so he could repeat his actions!!

At the end of the day they are HUMAN beings that were born in the wrong place!

I do not like the problems they cause trying to get a better life but do feel sorry that they have left their wives, friends, children and family members behind to better themselves. Why they want to end up here god only knows.

Most of us living in UK are looking elsewhere for a better lifestyle yet still they come!

I too would not relish killing another human being if it could have been avoided.

No offence mate, the only thing i agree on is that - yes, most of us are fed up with the uk and would like to “have a better lifestyle” elsewhere but there are procedures to follow, i think its called emmigrating. The main reason i am fed up with the uk is because of all the pc,lefty do-gooders.

Tin hat at the ready

its hardly only pc/lefty/do-gooders who find the idea of dragging someone up the hard shoulder and finding it funny as wrong.why not get a pointy hood and a cape for the full effect.

Err, because i"m not racist!!

The gendarmes wouldnt have given mohammed his belongings back and im damned if im going to find a red cross centre in calais (i had a job to do). The damage they did to the roof of the trl was far more than £20 worth so i dont feel guilty now. I posted a cheque for dave o donnels mate at the time. No dreva im not back on the floors mate.
Some of the doo-gooders on here make me ■■■■. Have you okey been in that exact situation? 6 blokes who must have been armed with a knife to get in the trl against me? My adrenaline was pumping and i wanted them out and away from me. I didnt have time for tea and biscuits with them.

jb,i have had them in trailer before, dont like them dont really care for them and dont understand why they have to travel through numerous other countries just to get away from their own countries. oh wait i do know, its because they wouldnt get taken by the hand as much anywhere else.i wouldnt be a bit shy in using a bit of force to get them out but i think i might draw the line at what this other guy claims to have done. although this may just be his own little urban myth…

I wasnt having a go at you glenman. I agree i wouldnt have driven down the road dragging them either.
Ive said it and some here have said it.. If i were born in a poor deprived country and heard of a country where the pansy lilly livered government gave away money and housing id try to get there too.
Having said that if some unsuspecting driver caught me in his trl i`d expect him to be more than a little ■■■■■■ off with me!

no worries jb,more or less same from me just that i was not having a go at you

Dont really want to get into a “cyber battle”, “urban myth”. . no … fact-
Its about time some people started living in the real world.
You say ,“you"ve had them in the trailer”. . .what did you do then?
2 QUESTIONS
1} Have you ever had stowaways?
2}If you have, how did YOU deal with them?
