Been out of the industry for a while but need advise or recommendations if any about a delivery on the Orkney Islands in November.
Driving up on a Sunday for the ferry from Aberdeen.
What’s the best route?
Any good cafes or truckstops? I’ll be driving up from the N.W.
Best way is up m 6 a 74 m73 m80 towards sterling a 9 Perth a90 Dundee then do left onto a 90 n follow it to end.
Manchester to Aberdeen is doable in your driving hours.
Truck stops not many Dundee has gone unless it’s reopened.
Got stratcartho near nr brechin probably last truck stop before anerdeent.
Lots of laybyes though but nothing much else.
No idea if stratcartho opens Sundays but here’s there details

Is doable in your driving when I went there regular used park in like parking area laybe near golf course.
Ab24 1fr .is a snack van there during weekdays
And only 5 mins if that to the docks.
Looking at Google maps it’s saying Aberdeen has a clean air zone if not euro 6 have to pay so your need to look into it.
Must be new as wasnt there when I used to go..but last time was about 2 years ago
