This is obviously the thread where all the “smooth” Dudes from the 60’s are posted,I was a little bit older than you at 20 “Guesty” when this shot was taken but the idea was the same ! Bewick.
So, go on Dennis, where have you taken that ‘legal of course’ limestone paving from, and sold it on at a huge profit to a garden centre somewhere!

Fair play, we can see the grease gun! I’m impressed you took the weight off it (12 tons!) first!
Happy days!
John.
The next motor I bought John I had Tecalamit auto lube fitted so I only had to grease the prop.I also had autolubes fitted to the two Mastiffs and the little Bedford TK/ KE. I also continued fitting autolube to all the new Atkis and ERF’s but once I was able to get a decent workshop system up and running I stopped fitting the auto lubes. One major downside was oil impregnation in the side walls of the fron’t tyres which made them u/s for re-moulding.Then when I started buying the Volvos and Scanias they didn’t require autolubes as the spring pins were threaded which held the grease unlike the UK motors which had smooth pins.Useless info I know ! Cheers Dennis.
This is a circa 60/61 early evening shot of a Scottish 6 wheeler Trader( I think it is a Perthshire reg. no.) rolling down the A6 into Kendal well loaded with sawn timber,I was about 13/14 years old when I took this shot with my first camera,a Kodak brownie.I think I also have a shot or two of some Oswald of Ayr Beavers loaded with billets at the same location.Cheers Bewick.
Great shot, although I can’t quite place the exact location. No doubt there are trees obscuring the view nowadays. Please post any A6 pics you have, Beavers, anything, in an A6 thread perhaps.

The shot is more-or-less on the northern boundary of the town, the field on the left of the shot is now the Shap Road Ind. Estate there is no development on the right hand side.Bewick.

a couple of my dads traders, they both had a couple of colour schemes during their lives, but for the most part they were in the pink of rosebud dolls
Would those Traders have had their chassis stretched or would they have been ex factory wheelbases.Nice shots though of the Traders.Cheers Bewick.
