total of 10 working days x 9hrs driving= 90hrs driving in our 2 week period
is this legal and if so; how much rest is required now?

I would say no you can’t do this as you have 72hrs driving in 1 week(Max driving in any week is 56hrs, 1 week is Monday 00:00 - Sunday 23:59).

True, I didn’t think about that.

When you start your week 2, the earliest you could start would be Sunday 22:00, at the end of the week 1 you still have 2 hours left that you could drive that week.

Dose the week start Monday 00:00 or when you put you card in and start work?

The fixed week for the purposes of weekly and fortnightly driving limits and 2x extended drives starts at 00:00 Monday. For calculating maximum time between weekly rest periods and 3x reduced daily rest periods it begins when you put your card in.
