Do i look like tom cruise in top gun or what, i would think the or what would come first to mind, although saying that you have a lot of people wearing sunglasses because they don’t have any confidence or lack the basic attitude to be themselves, so the sunglasses give them power, super powers to be who they never will be, posers in disguise
You really do think about this subject an unhealthy amount. Ever noticed that winter sun being low in the sky can be the most dazzling? Or are you too busy obsessing over what others wear? Oh and I don’t think you mean laudable
The Beaver only wears Oakley’s, because they are the best (like me).
Aviators are for pilots and ITVbe viewers.

They arn’t a good idea while driving especially if you go into a tunnel from bright sunlight, I remember coming off the Bilbao ferry and headed down the toll road on my motorcycle while wearing reaction lens glasses, but the toll road has numerous tunnels but as soon as I entered the first one I was totally blind and nearly ended up under the wheels of a truck

I dont know how effective newer ones are, but as you say they were too slow to react, and didn
t react as much behind a windscreen as out in the open.
I have to wear prescription glasses and have clear, and tinted pairs to use.
Easy to swop at the wheel, however for bikes the crash hat prevents that, so I have a full face lid with a flip down (and up!) tinted visor.

This reminds me of that Billy Connolly routine where he had his Dad convinced you could get prescription car windscreens made.

It’s not always this, there are many people who have excessive light sensitivity, for example my wife. I am a person who enjoys sun as much as I can, without glasses, unless it becomes too uncomfortable. For my wife it’s different, she will wear sunglasses on most occasions on sunny days, because she says it’s pretty much becomes painful after a short period of time even with not so bright sunlight. So sunglasses it’s not only a fashion thing, it may serve for a very practical goal, as for example to protect your vision.

I know most will already know but you do have to be careful when buying cheap sun glasses, the cheaper range do not offer much protection to your eyes even though you may think that the sun is being shaded. Good quality sun glasses will give you the added UV protection that you need. I still use my Rayban sun glasses for the protection and comfort.

Hey, don’t be sorry man, fill yer boots.
(I’d be wasting my time telling you I only came across it whilst searching for the Billy Connolly version, and did not watch it right through or pay it much attention or thought, …but I won’t bother cos you wouldn’t believe me anyhow.
)
Anyway…off to listen to a Wets track.

I fear you maybe talking at a brick wall. He clearly has some weird self invented idea about why everyone wears sunglasses and doesn’t seem the type to listen to actual reason as he might actually learn something, not something he’s a fan of clearly
Anyway…off to listen to a Wets track.
or off to make the track wet… just saying like…

I get the impression he looks a bit of a drip wearing shades, or somebody else has told him this, …he protesteth too much I reckon, it’s a sour grapes case.
Anyway I have light issues with my eyes, constant floaters, and bad reaction to light triggers off migraine, (also a great excuse for the peek a boo poofy curtains btw
) so I wear shades quite often all the year round in fact. (Had numerous medicals over the years and passed them, despite declaring this.)
Bonus is that I look even more cool more often.

I assume He/She/It is a troll and a troll who has a very similar style to a previous troll banished from this site, so applying logic or constructive arguments is a waste of time. I would also say from their writing style that they’re not terribly bright, which is maybe why they think they’re so superior. Could it be an example of the Dunning Kruger effect in action, but then again maybe I don’t understand enough about it to say for certain?
I really shouldn’t watch so much Poirot.

And yet you still reply defining your very own words classic
Dark-tinted glasses, worn for a variety of reasons.
1: If it’s a bright day.
2: If you have been given a black eye and want to conceal it.
3: You are making a (not-very-good) attempt to conceal your identity.
4: You are a complete ■■■ who thinks wearing sunglasses makes you look like a gangster or a pop star or something.
“Why does Sunglasses Roy wear shades even when it’s dark? Does he think it’s cool?”
“Er, no. He’s actually an alien with red eyes and doesn’t want anyone to see them”.
When it’s too bright outside ,then for me it’s only natural to put sunglasses on regardless of what season it is.
For more than 30 years I’ve had a pair of sunglasses year round in the truck and car for that matter.
