Stuff you have to put up with

Hmm country lane, lone female giving it the big un, time to get the carpet ready.

Are you a strangler Dave, or do you prefer the hammer?

Some on here could BS her to death :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

I didn’t know he’s given it a nickname. Whatever he calls it, as long as it remains in his pants on here we should be safe

More a toffee hammer if im honest.
Strangling is more arousing though.

Having considered this situation I would have probably googled my position and looked around the lane for a suitable passing place. Explaining to the lady who I would logically presume was with her daughter due to her aggresive initial outburst that we would need to work together and I was happy to reverse, making an attempt to build up a more friendly rapour.

Keeping things civil and professional I would let them by with a cheery wave safe in the knowledge that this wouldnt be the last time our paths crossed.

What an arrogant cow :open_mouth:
There is no way whatsoever I would have reversed up that road for her.
I am on those sort of roads every week doing farm building deliveries in Cornwall and Devon.
Incidentally that’s one of the reasons I would never buy a truck sat nav (even if I needed one which I don’t) as it would tell me to never use any of those roads.
I’ve had dirty looks and comments chucked at me, but never a stand off like that.
If it did/does happen,… seat back, feet on dash so they could see, and newspaper hiding my face.
If it continued a stalemate, ring the local plod, I’m sure he would agree who the obvious candidate for reversing would be from both a common sense and safety point of view.
Think the driver was a bit of a wimp tbh. :unamused:

I forgot to mention the C S A ( Country Side Alliance ) membership as well …

Careful now, that could be construed as bullying.

A tearful YouTube condemnation of you filmed in his mum’s spare room is imminent.

+1 though.

As long as there isn’t a chair underneath a noose in the background, my conscience will be clear Mr Monkey.

What a pleb.
Can you imagine the poor sod somewhere that married that old bint.
" you obviously cant drive mate "
I would have said here if its so easy you jump in and reverse it,feel free to give a blast on the horn, might knock the dust off your ■■■■■.

Driver had some patience to take it in his stride.

WTF did the truck driver pass the passing place, they could have a easily passed each other if they both weren’t a pair of knobheads, as bad as each other.

Ah yes, but where is the drama to make the youtube video stand out for viewers?
Having to reverse on a country road is like an amatuer photographer catching a murder on film for some dashcam queens. He probably couldnt argue back with her properly because he was creaming himself thinking about getting the video online

Two berks in that video. What a spineless ■■■■ weak git in the lorry. I’ve been stuck like that more than once and find it works wonders for their tempers when you say things like 'I’m getting paid, how about you ?

So the fairy driving the lorry never found anywhere further on to suitable for them both to pass. As you can be sure it would have been captured on camera and identified.

Seems to me the woman was someone who knew the road a lot better than the fairy truck driver. The woman car driver even tells the truck driver what is behind him and where a passing manoeuvre can take place. However being a typical truck driver he took offence at being given simple instructions. Which he ended up doing anyway, albeit with a tantrum and much huffing and puffing.
