Hmmmm.

I see that in between Pat`s posting and my reply. other postings have been made which infer that I have somehow caused offence.

If anyone is ever offended by any opinion that I hold, then I apologise unreservedly. If you and I disagree, then tell me why. Hey, that`s what TruckNet is for! An exchange of opinions and information.

On the subject of my website, I publish it because I feel it may be of some interest to some people. I use the link in my signature- as Pat does- and I will refer to that job when appropriate- for example, if I am asked if I have ever worked at Christmas. Otherwise, I don`t mention it, and I do not consider that I am a better driver than anyone else because of that job I had. More ambitious maybe.

Grim Reaper could I just remind you that when you signed up for these forums you agreed to bide by the rules, one of which covers personal attacks against other members. You are straying very close to breaking that rule so please give it a rest.

If you have some kind of issue with Vince take it to email or PM and I’m sure Vince will be happy to discuss it with you.

Hey, dont worry Neil. Sometimes members get home at the weekend stressed out and need to blow off steam. Thats fine. I have no complaint about any post on this thread at the mo.

To be honest, Rikki pays me such an enormous salary to be a TruckNet moderator, that I am more than happy to put up with almost limitless abuse on here…

Moderators and Admins are simply TruckNet members, like you. I am a full time truck driver myself.

The only difference is that we can delete or edit messages which breach our very simple rules. Racism, sexism, homophobia, advertising, that sort of thing.

If I post “as a moderator” then I always make that clear. Otherwise I am posting as a member and my views are worth no more or less than any other members. They are my thoughts, thats all.

No moderator has EVER edited a message simply because he or she does not agree with it- No moderator ever will.

I had honestly never heard of that expression until about a fortnight ago, in Commercial Motor, and I have never used it anywhere.

If I disagree, then I say "I disagree and heres why". I dont make personal insults.

Several years ago I was rostered to work Boxing Day sailing out of Ramsgate (I live at Margate 5 miles away). Once I cleared customs I was told that the sailing was cancelled due to bad weather and I sat 5 miles from home on a bank holiday not knowing when I would sail…sob…sob…
