Cannot see how anyone could get so worked up over a few stones, They have been there for hundreds of years now so everything has been documented and photographed and still no one is none the wiser to what they are. Just knock them down and move them to a Museum or put them up as they were elsewhere. They are not exactly like the pyramids or have any historical importance.

Watching this it gave me an idea, why not replicate stonehenge in legoland, they could then slice the real stones up and sell them for kitchen worktops to some high paying celebrity.
Stonehenge is a good example of an early government project. They put all that time, money and manpower into it, and it still doesn’t fly!

Maybe not historical, maybe,… esoterical/mystical/cultural etc. History has a way of being…re-arranged, especially when archeology makes new discoveries. History shouldn’t be the benchmark of value over culture. No point paving paradise to put up a parking lot, to quote a flaxen- haired, comely singer from the 60’s.
