I’ve said what needed to be said on the other thread and if we’re being honest with each other certain members of this forum really got under my skin to a point where I had to take stress relief measures. I do have a temper but I can also keep it in check when need be.
Now I will say this. I am a spotter, you might think it’s sad but I don’t care. I’ve grown up all my life with people thinking certain hobbies of mine are sad but you know what I just get on with it. I’ve met a great bunch of people whilst spotting and even my fiancé who is 5 months pregnant. We are a welcoming bunch of people so if anybody wants to come down to Appleton and join us we are here every day. Now I do have a gold hi vis but I don’t wear it all the time, only for special events such as the naming of a new truck. But if you do fancy coming down the hi vis I wear most of the time has my name Joe written on the back. The only requirement to take pictures with us is that you don’t video record members as we’ve had a few people doing this to upload to Facebook and make fun of us.

I would suggest to need to learn to lighten up or keep off internet forums, if it gets too you so much that you needs stress relief measures.
In the same way I don’t understand why some people single out Stobarts as the worst thing in haulage, which you would have known had you bothered to read my posts. I also don’t understand why somebody would think they are the be all and end all and takes any criticism of them personally. 
I have no problem with somebody taking part in any hobby, however strange, provided it doesn’t harm others, I used to work with a driver who was a train spotter, his idea of a good night out, when parked up was going to the local station and looking at trains, but it was difficult to take the micky out of the bloke as he was the first to take the micky out of himself. perhaps you need to learn a lesson from that, step back take a look at what you do it is bazaar, maybe no more bazaar than what others do in their spare time, especially Dipper Dave. actually we can only guess at what he does in his spare time. but bazaar none the less. Enjoy your hobby, but laugh at yourself for doing so it will diffuse a lot of situations that get you riled up.

Your a great guy Joe, you and your missus are a credit to the Stobart spotters. Good on you for having the balls to let it all out and tell it how it is. Nothing wrong with Stobart spotters, a fair few of them have my pic now and I found most of them really nice people.

If thats his hobby then so be it, each to their own but just dont take a bit of ribbing so seriously. Personally, ■■■■ taking ill go along with it and name calling, that goes right over my head , lifes too short and precious to let blood pressure boil over…laid back and stress free is the way…
