Is it me or does William look more and more like a ■■■■■ each week?
There’ll soon be a spinoff show “Willy O’Stobart; Tarmac and Tree Cuttings”…

I thought that was the original name for the biomass division…"We will chop them conifer’s down for you mrs as long as we can have the waste cuttings "

I’ve never watched the “fast eddie show”,I much prefer “Benidorm” at least it is billed as a comedy show !! However, from what I read on these posts about "the fast eddie " show it just seems to highlight the gulf of misunderstanding between what the general veiwing public “percieve” as the transport industry and what it really does entail.Obviously,if you have access to a giant fleet and, therefore, are able to “stage” manage the filming you will be able to give a totally biased impression of any industry but then isn’t that what 99% of to-days TV is.Cheers Bewick.

Come to think of it,on second thoughts, the main board of the “fast eddie” group and some of the “actor” drivers could seamlessly replace the entire cast of “Benidorm” !!! Now that would really make for a “must watch” comedy show, there may even be a walk on part for CG !!! Cheers Bewick.

Talking of comedy shows, it was reported in commercial motor, that the BBC have commissioned a well known comedy writer to do a new comedy series about truckers, anyone remember the series years ago, called Truckers, I can remember one of the characters being called The egg man…

Now I wonder which “logistics giant” will get that gig ■■? Or “who’s the biggest bunch of aresholes next to “fast eddie” who would qualify for the part” .

They were cowboys, I doubt Stobart want to be involved in a Western

Cringeworthy Urban National Transport Services

Fiona gets a brand new trailer with no useful information and worse than that no Anderson Lead so when another driver gives her one, it is too zb short and she complains!

Even after following the risk assessment sheet, numbnuts the goods in bod tells her to reverse in, then tells her to drive out and drive back in. she caused havoc on a filling station forecourt, but none of it was her fault.

As in the title, just watched stobart trucks and trailers - 3. I have to admit that I personally think that generally it puts the haulage industry in the Spotlight, and to that end puts the public " in the cab", and a view from our prospective. However having watched tonights episode, I think that Stobarts may well be doing harm to our fight for a fair price of fuel. If the public sees that program, where the company sends a truck to pick up the winner of a competition - from her house! Is it just me or is that justa waste of fuel? I know you could argue that the raffle was prob for charity, and I shouldn’t knock that, Of course that isnt my intention. But when the public next sees a tractor unit minus its trailer, do you think they will see a good or bad reason for this?? and in a housing estate too - surely a weight restriction issue?

Ready… Set… Go!

That would depend if there were any weight restrictions, just because it’s a housing estate doesn’t automatically mean there is a weight restriction.

Its probably just Stobart spotters and lorry drivers who watch this programme and not the general public. So it shouldn’t do the fight much harm. I might be wrong though. Unless a street has a weight restriction sign, there is no harm in taking a tractor unit into a housing estate. I often get sent to housing estates complete with 45ft trailer to do deliveries!!!

Does your street have a weight restriction?

Sam Millar:
Does your street have a weight restriction?

No, but its not really built for artics. Its still managable though as I’ve done it once or twice.

She split-coupled that Urban trailer… I thought every company had banned that practice these days■■?

I meant the OP but either way, you can get a max length rigid up my street and no more and even that’s taking the biscuit a bit lol.
