I dont understand why so many people knock stobarts for stuff doing this, its improving the image of haulage in the eyes of the public no end.
I’d say it’s only thier image they’re trying to improve.

Yes i agree with you there, but its still helping everyone else out. On the flipside i do find it annoying when people turn round to me and say, “i bet you’d like to work for stobarts”, thinking thats where every career minded lorry driver wants to end up lol.

I got exactly that yesterday - makes me think I must be a real driver now! Had a tricky reverse in blindside through a narrow gate. Talking to the girl in the office, she said people usually hit the gate - I said I thought I was going to, and had only been doing this for a few weeks. She said ‘I suppose the ultimate aim is to drive for Stobarts is it?’. I wasn’t quite sure how to respond, as she was quite fit, and a customer, so didn’t want to get too petulant!
(Oh, and Wheel Nut - love the signature - best Christmas song ever! )
