friend of mine was offered work at stillers… out of aycliffe…only last month . money offered was £5.17 per hour…needless to say he didnt take the offer…
Come on Terry at least be fair about it, your mate would have been working for one of the biggest Driver Lovers in the UK called Richard LOL I’ll save him the embarressment of mentioning his welsh surname lol, however, his Rigid Drivers are Paid £5-25ph and only because they held out for it.
A Staunch anti unionist, he took on a job at Team Hawk and thought he could get the drivers to drop the Union Status, strange coz he only lasted a short while there
And they still have the URTU in

not quite top of the range
Hi Drawbardaz,
Just joined this forum and came across your post. I am working for the Stiller Group at the moment out of the Stockton Depot. I am on local work loading and tipping trailers mainly around Hartlepool and Middlesbrough. The wage is £5.18 per hour with a guaranteed 14 hour day. Works out at £72.50 a day. Most days were about 11 hours but one day was 15 hours. It all depends on the type of work you want. Trampers are on a different scale, guaranteed 9 hours but there is a bonus scheme in place based on km covered and tip and loads done per day. If you like working with steel you will probably be ok but I hate it and finish with them next Friday after a staggering 3 weeks employment LOL. Going back to agency work at £7 per hour.
Regards
Westie
I have also done a bit for Stiller on the Savers contract we were paid £7 per hour right accress and all brakes paid! £10.80 for Saturday £14.00 Sundays!
Its a afternoon start just trunking “drop off trailer bring empty back” about 10 hours a day! not the best but kept the wolves away from the door for a while!
