lighten up ffs…it might be the land of the midnight sun,and everyone commits suicide as its terminally boring and depressing from now till april up there,but take happy pill and chill…or even some bovril?? 
my son in law is up there just now somewhere near narvik for a 6 month divers course,and its baltic and miserable…it makes gothenburg look like tenerife in comparison just now…
As it happens it’s Finland that has the suicide problems not here.And for your information from now until April is the best time up here The Winter activities are awesome and plentiful.The reason i moved up here is so i don’t need to take happy pills.

Up here they mostly drive 4 x4s and a hell of a lot of Audis,BMWs and Mercs.
Narvik is in the Norwegian sea.The Baltic is on the other side of Sweden.If your son in law is in Narvik its only 40kms to Riksgrensen which is one of the most popular Winter sport areas in Scandinavia,snowmobiling,skiing,quads,and lots of partys and as we just had 20 cms of new snow yesterday it’s all in full swing.
all he is interested in doing is getting the training completed,heading back to near gothenburg…then getting a job somewhere like dubai for the money…the snows just a hinderance heading home…it dont make much difference at the bottom of the salty sea…
