A couple of years ago I got done doing 83mph on a national speed limit country lane and it cost me £100+3 points.
According to that calculator, the same offence would now cost me £817+ 4-6 points
No offence pal but if you were caught doing 83 you deserve the £817.
Shame it wasn’t in force then.

sad but true though that one was number 3 i think.
people thould possibly realise that not every lemming adheres or cares about the speed limit other than wheres plod, and the camera van and let them get on with it.
im driving an x5 just now and by the time ive booted it up and the gearbox finds top gear then im comfortably doing 70-80mph so long as theres no wazzocks in front of me.
id imagine there were more accidents caused by myopic speed limit road commander/dashcam warriors and their rolling road blocks than just wellying along with no herberts holding you back

Its the result of the 10+ years the gov have been pushing the “speed kills” slogan, the hard of thinking take it at face value. The rest (majority) just get on with it driving sensibly to the conditions/enviroment and hard luck if you’re caught by the bib.

the lemmings get brainwashed then the others are at fault.

Why do drivers who are hourly paid speed? To me it makes no sense, but no doubt someone will explain why it is sensible to do it.
I’m hourly paid and have and usually take all the time in the world.
I let all the flash motors, salaried and per day paid drivers go
No rushing on my part.

Holier than thou attitude?
Yeah right
I’ve not long had 3 points taken off of my own licence.
My point was if you were doing 83 on any road other than a motorway you deserve what you got.

I think you will find the majority are not capable of driving sensibly. Going too slowly can be dangerous, going too fast can be dangerous. If drivers just obeyed the laws the roads would be a safer place.

How long before we’re done for doing 30.00000000000001mph in a 30■■?
When they can’t nick enough people for doing 30.00000000000002 MPH!
Someone I know got done for doing 32 in a 30 not long ago, which would never have happened 10 years ago. It seems that as drivers are becoming more aware of speeding and traveling at or about on the limit, less people are getting done so they lower the thresholds to get more.
No offence pal but if you were caught doing 83 you deserve the £817.
