Specialist Transport Services (training)

Well mike, Yes i do have a class one which i passed first go in 1993 after
attending a proper course with west yorkshire hgv. however i am sure you
will think this is a tale or a fluke but its not. I also have my nat/internat cpc
and instructor certificates all passed first go after proper training.
dont underestimate the need for good quality training. any clown can teach
someone to drive a wagon up and down the motorway but there is much
more to a course, as i said in the beggining the object is to pass the test.
Marlow would be better of offering a post test course as your brain just cant cope with to much at once. you say you failed, well imagine if you had being
having to learn about charts and loading and defects you cant do it.

I think time will prove you wrong!

Ian will pass and Marlow will have a very busy school on his hands! deservedly so IMHO.

marlow gets my support too. i think he`s doing a sterling job.

I think that the thread in its entirety was pretty good, It took us through the training that Ian received up to test day including the cancellation for bad weather or industrial action…

A bit like: A Day in the Life of a Driving Instructor.

Houdini didnt read the complete thread obviously and it doesnt matter how well someone can drive if nerves get in the way.

I was lucky and passed my HGV test first time but failed my first car test being over confident

[ Edited Post ]

I have amended this post after receiving a phone call from Houdini requesting me to do so. I hope this gesture of good will draws a line under the matter.

Phil.

If what Marlow has said is true…I detect a hidden agenda here…
Shame people are like that
Stick with it Marlow, I for one, feel what you are trying to do is a great idea.
Keep smiling

Just a quicky to appologise to marlow for taking a wind up too far. I dont
know him but after speaking to him i know he is 100% genuine
in what he is trying to do. Good luck with it.
