Hi all,
A couple more from south cerney then back to some more from m4dogwalker.
Back to m4dogwalkers photos, more from bevan’s of Newport.
This Foden was driven from new by Percy Hall for Sharples as a flatbed on steel, later converted to a tipper. As a flatbed it was used on steel hauling from South Wales taking loads all over the UK.Andrew has asked me to post some pics of him at the Abbey works which I will do,as soon as I can find them.
Cheers Dave.

Hi dave,
Top man,you would see sharples in the abbey every day many years ago.midlands foundry sand down and coil back.the bodies had chains so stop the sides spreading.i only ever saw them with foden’s year in year out .
Regards Andrew.
Percy Hall watching the steel being loaded at the steelworks.
Pics courtesy of Paul Griffiths who was a friend of Percy’s.
Any of you South Wales blokes recognise the fella with Percy in the pic.
The A470 which Sharples fleet were a familiar sight.
