here’s a few of sid evans’ old motors.first a well travelled looking sid in front of a john evans daf at the londra.sid was then driving for j&m transport.
1989 and sid’s new gap forwarding 1735 merc.by the main weighbridge in the abbey.
during the early 90’s sid bought this ex anchor butter man from owner driver steve flloyd.seen here in a.s. griffiths’ yard after bringing her back on joint’s stepframe because sidney ran off the motorway near the french belgian border,ended up in the woods after going in between the centre gap of two large steel barriers.fully freighted with bricks for the abbey.
does anyone know what happened to Ioan Rees transport of pontypridd I worked with Ioan when he was an apprentice at griffin mill,the old volvo dealership and later at jeff cadwalladers tipper fleet in cilfynydd, but have not seen or heard of him since about 1990!
just thought i would add a bit more ,ioan came to my yard,then in tonypandy with a guy called beverley and bought my trusty old man 16.232 a beast of amotor wth a column change that only worked in high ratio,they planned to run out of humes concrete plant in talbot green but i dont think wagon ever went back on the road
the man’s replacement was this 112.bought from m&b transport barry.owned new by a.s. griffiths.

hiya mate,if its the same ioan who used to run transcons and f88s then he,s still alive and well,i was talking to him back last year. theres a pic of one of his old f88s on this thread somewhere.
