Evening all, Andrew, super pictures, and obviously a great time had by all!! Thank you for sharing.

It really annoys me, here we are in “the United States of Europe”, with uniform regulation, and standards, yet if one was to attempt to register,(as a hire and reward lorry), such a US produced vehicle, why that negative army of over paid, unnecessary, negative burocratic clerks, from Swansea, and Bristol, would produce at the slightest questioning , a raft of reasons, (let us start with type approval), why such a vehicle could not, ever, ever, be operated on the congested roads of this (tarnished) isle. … WHY■■?

Yet if one was situated in the “low countries”, or even la belle France, or even those “afficianadoes” of regulation the loveable Germans, would say… …no problem… WHY■■?

Perhaps no one has ever asked the question, of their MEP… (now where would you find such a reticent over fed creature), or even their MP, (do we have any MP of any party that even vaguely understands anything about Road Transport)■■?

I shall take solace in the Bollinger, and ponder the question! Bon Nuit mes braves, Cheerio for now.

Hi saviem,
Another point well put across by you again.bonneted yanks are fairly common in France,Spain,Belgium and holland.the silly uk bureaucrats can’t,as usual see the wood for the trees.when I registered my 359 nearly four years ago, dvla in their own inimitable way deemed it type approval and mot exempt…result :sunglasses: .i think? I can even go into London with it :open_mouth:
Regards Andrew.

The two drivers I mentioned Keith worked out of Reed International at Lower Lydbrook and ran up this way in Mercedes artics in the 1980’s.
Cheers Dave.
