Hi Andrew,
Was chatting to your mate Tony the Tiger today,he told me about working with you on Joint Moterways.
Cheers Dave.hi dave,
yes dave,i have known tony for quite some time,i first met him when he drove a bedford tm for r&d burrows when they were subbing to joint.tony later worked for joint motorways direct,as i remember up until they finished, he was and still is a good driver who always looked after his wagon.tony’s boss these days is an old friend of my father’s and they worked together at joints in the 1960’s.
regards andrewHi Andrew,
He was having his 45 minute break at a local snack van,we both pulled in there at the same time, got chatting, mentioned truck net, also yourself, then it all fell into place. He said he drove just the one lorry that his boss owned, also said he was following the Volvo that the tree fell onto.Nice chap to talk to.
Cheers Dave.
hi dave, thankyou for the nice chap comment, it was nice to finally meet you and put a name to a face, see you again soon.
hi all,

You don’t need the “album” tags mate, the img tags will make it work.
You can see what your post will look like by using the ‘preview’ feature before you hit the ‘submit’ button. dd.
they graduated to daf after a few years.the pumping gear on this one, saved the day after the driver left the hand brake off .

Hi Komatsu 450,
Trevor Davies of Llanwrda lorries used to come through this village a lot back about twenty years ago.I used to talk to a driver called Duke on the CB,he drove for Owen James from Llandovery after Trevor Davies packed up.Unfortunatly Duke was killed a few years ago in a moterbike accident,a nice bloke, seeing that pic reminded me.
Cheers Dave.

hi sgates87,
i don’t know,is the quick answer, however i would guess that the ec erf’s were amongst the last new motors that ely ran,so late 1990’s?probably? around the same time as brt became samat 1998/99?
regards andrew
I don’t know whether anybody can see this picture because I have put it on here before and got no response but this registration number is on an ELY EC so I would presume that maybe the ECX was ELY too.
