HI ALL,

Thats very nice of him to trust the photos to us, thank him very much.

with a big thank you to our audi/vw group parts delivery driver ted for finding these ely transport photos and many more that will be posted over the next week or so.to begin with an old shot of ely’s yard, with amongst others an artic unit that to me looks like an american diamond reo?

a rare sight these days,a signwriter! applying lettering with a pot of paint and brush on a new erf.

on the back of this photo is written cowbridge hill 1947.

long before stobart’s,ely transport drivers had uniforms.

a maudsley 8 legger

loaded with an aircraft.

an old ex-us army? dodge.

moving forward now and the fleet has certainley grown.

i must confess,i didn’t know that ely ever ran f88’s.a brilliant shot of timber being loaded in a pre-containerised age.
