Hi Andrew,A couple of shots of TUH 768J,Cheers Bubbs,

Great to see the Cardiff Plant / Cambrian Scania in action. The top photo shows a Marion BM47 and the bottom photo shows a NCK Andes but note the difference in the two photos of the trailers wheels unless there were two identical Crane Fruehauf trailers with different axles.

Hi Graham ,
Thanks for the post mate. Here are a few more welsh motors from days gone by.Firstly Olly Huish’s very rare white Road Boss 2,I cant recall another bought new in South Wales and worked from our principality. Then a great shot of a Clissold Transcon in a proper yard,we all remember them.

That’s closed down now all boarded up theres a hand car wash there now ,wonder whos volvo with the coils are ,most cafes are gone now which used to be the stopping place ,remember as a youngster going with uncle norman and stopping at the coldra truckstop for a cuppa, and if they were on the Briton ferry run all joints would be parked by the pub having a pint ,the one near the recycling centre

With permission and thanks to Andrew Breeden.

Hi Harry,
Hope you’re well in these crazy times mate.Griff Fender were a big player based in Cwm Swansea, they finished in the later 1970’s Imo? The company appeared by name in one of many Max Boyce poems.

Has anyone got photos of Parfitts Transport, I used to get a back load from them ,Late 50s Earley 60s, IIRC The motors were Red 8 wheelers, This was when I worked for Smiles for Miles who used to load Parffits back with fire bricks the odd time they were in the north east, Regards Larry.

Hi Larry,
Thanks for posting,If you look on page 717,there’s a bit of information on Parfitts Transport there.A life long family friend drove for them in the 60’s.
Regards Andrew.

Hi all,
Owner driver Kurt Hutchinson ran this new 1996 Mack V8 560 Magnum subbing to John Raymond.Smiths Heavy Haulage and their mighty Scania…

Hi all. Well Andrew, just received and had a quick glance of my December Truck&Driver. What a great surprise to see yourself and Harry featured along with the article Le Grande Mack.
Hoping to read it ASAP. Totally slammed getting organized for silly season at the U.S. Postal Service, so it’s bedtime right now but will get to read it tomorrow night
Take it easy, Paul.

A couple all credit to Richard Says for the photos.
