Tremorfa was Castle Works I think, who was Castle Services a “clearing house” or a transport company that ran subbies also? Cheer’s Pete
The present day Celsa Steel still have Tremorfa Works and Castle Works and still produce re-bar. Now owned by a German company they are a nightmare to load out of and we stopped going in there for backloads about 4 years ago. Seven or eight hours to load without demurrage was not unusual and they are one of those companies that settle invoices on 120 days payment terms, but hauliers still work for them.

They had a fair number of both those engines.also had an ex demo cat powered foden.i personally only ever remember them having Wilcox bodies and trailers.

Thanks Andrew , the Foden double drive with Wilcox short tandem step frame looks very nice pictured when new prior to number plates being fitting.
