Looking at this pic it looks like he’s just negotiated a left hander and to go over to the left
seems strange or was it a “blowover” that seems more probable.

It looks to me from the picture that that’s an exit of a roundabout its gone over on, so my best guess would be that it started its roll over actually on the roundabout whilst sweeping right and for whatever reason was unable to plant all wheels back on the ground even though it was then sweeping left.

Of course we can all speculate that the driver was either seriously cooking it through that roundabout or it was one hell of a windy day/night and add to that a possibly poorly loaded Double Decker and physics will do the rest and so on, but I’m pretty confident that being an “Owens driver” wasn’t the only contributing factor Dai :smiley:

lloyd bros I can remember steam cleaning this wagon in Pontardawe in the seventies it had a rising rear axle never seen one before this

Hi rowly, you are right all the Christie Tyler boys were a great bunch even the loaders i liked loading in outline llantrisant ,and action in brackla. Here’s one of Jones they had all his trucks on there ,there’s an ex Christie transport manager in Sheffield insulation cardiff I can’t remember his name , it is a shame they are not on here, one I remember he had a green d series I can’t think of his name :smiley: :smiley:
