My father used to own a Haulage company called Davies Brothers of Penyrheol Gorseinon,it’s a bit of a long shot but are there any photos out there,as I only have the one.They ran mostly Scammels in the seventies and eighties,but in the early days had Albions Commers and Fords.

well iv had my operation doing ok might make retro in chair of course mr cooper it will b a scaniaaaaa chair im hoping some of mine will b there I aint seen my transcon since mr kelvin powell obducted it ah ah regards rowly

Hi Andrew, nice photo there of a hard worked F12.
I wonder if Marc is related to or knows Tudor Williams who worked at Evan’s during the late 70s when they ran F88s. A bit of a character Tudor was for sure.

Think I mentioned it previously, they bought our F86 off us with a 33ft tandem trailer to restore. P reg ex HY-MAC and a lovely shade of yellow lol.

Paul, if it’s the same Tudor, didn’t he drive for Wynford North in the late 80’s and then John Raymond’s in later years?. Hope you are keeping well in the sun out there… hasn’t been too bad over here of late. Take care. Adrian

Hi Adrian, I’m doing well thanks, hope you are too.
Must of been about 1988/89 I saw Tudor last, he claimed to be a motor trader at that time, most of his deals done in the pub.
Didn’t Wynford North have a yard in Pant/ Dowlais late 80s. If so he was based at the old Hubert Johns yard who had subbed for Hoovers and Tri-ang Toys. Tudor may well of worked for him.

Hi Paul I know Tudor he was on the remploy contract with north,s when I was on it he drove the wagon and drag his mate phil stills drive he is with Owens North,s yard was in the docks Llanelli Paul wyn fords son is transport manager for run tech Tudor drove for Raymond’s he has retirired now no longer driving

In fact Wynford North had a small yard on Sandy Rd, Llanelli and later took over Barrie William’s yard in the Morfa, Llanelli. He also took over Barrie’s contracts. I think Barrie was a bit peeved with the way North treated him. I don’t think he was very correct in his ways of doing things? This would have happened around 1984/5. I did one Remploy trip to central London and did 30 drops in one day, as soon as I got back he wanted me to turn around and do the same, I quit!
