Hi all,
I can remember seeing this man regularly on the m4.i think? It was from Fishguard?

More towards St Davids way Andrew. He had a bad accident with that wagon & drag on Llanidloes bypass. His name is Thomas Lewis and he ended up in the same state as me. I used to talk to him on the CB before his accident, and then met him at the spinal injuries unit at Gobowen where he was a patient, and I was back in for an outpatients check up. A nice bloke, his CB handle was Shenandoah.
Cheers Dave.

T.S.P BEER. Me driving.

I’m not sure about a St David’s connection Dave -IIRC his yard was up at Stop and Call, Goodwick (up on the very steep hill pretty close to Fishguard ferry port) but he more recently had a farm near Trecwn (couple of miles out of Fishguard off the A40). I delivered straw to the farm about six years ago, the accident had left him completely paralysed and in an electric wheelchair, and we had a good chat about wagons - it was clear he was still keeping an eye on the industry.

Don’t like to correct you Dave but it wasn’t the MAN in the pic he had the accident in, it was his later lorry,: an immaculate Daf 3600 drawbar in the same colours which I remember well - although I can’t quite picture if it was a 4x2 or 6x2.

Thanks for posting Andrew, very evocative memories of seeing this and the later Daf running round this way as a kid.

Quite right sime17, it was a Daf, its a long time ago. I sold him a shakespeare home base CB aerial before he had his accident, as no metal twig could stick the high winds wheere he lived. The shakespeare big stick was fibre glass and would bend with the wind. I remember the Daf now you mention it, as far as I know it was a 6X4 with a trailer which he carried cattle in.
Cheers Dave.

Hi all,
M4dogwalker has kindly sent some more photos to share,I don’t think? Geoff Lewis’ lorries have been seen on any of our 504 pages before
