Hi all,
A south wales firm I remember very well,Isaac caswell they were quite a big player in their day.this erf must be amongst one the last trucks they ran.seen here by m4dogwalker :sunglasses: .

Hi all,
Andrew iirc the last work Caswell’s were doing was out of Gillete exhausts to Fords at Dagenam. Looks a rather short wheelbase to me, and strange to see it as a tag axle.
A nice link, my sister arrives from Abergavenny later this afternoon.
One week from my triple by-pass and so far doing fine. Time to catch up on this fine site, boredom at home is going to be a bloody nightmare.

Regards Paul.

Hi Paul,
Didn’t Gillette later become bosal at tafarnaubach? I didn’t think that caswell were still running in the 90’s  until I saw that photo.a Bristol reg? So I gues she was second hand, probably taken during 94/95.glad to hear your sister is going to stay, thanks for the pm,take it easy mate and get well soon Paul.
Regards Andrew.

hi all,
here’s one from komatsu450,on his way to tilbury with a crusher earlier this week.

Hi mark,
Correct sir :sunglasses: .caswell ran guy, atki’s erf’s etc.during the late 60’s Isaac caswell was getting increasingly frustrated at the uk manufacturers lead times,so he bought a couple of early f86 volvo’s closely followed by some f88’s.one of the 88’s was featured in the Volvo brochure at the time :sunglasses: .i remember being in a steel drop in oldbury in the 70’s with j&m and queuing behind us was a caswell f88 with a kirkstall axle
fuller box and Gardner engine,a caswell hybrid.an Atki chassis and running gear with an f88 cab,I wish I had taken photos of that :exclamation:
Regards Andrew.
