the “m” reg streamline,s where the first of the big cab to enter the catnic fleet which later followed the n reg before the transport finished.

i had to run a couple of trailers back to owens’ bridgend depot yesterday,so whilst there,i took these few :sunglasses: .

Frank Hoyle transport were from Stockport but had some trucks based in Merthyr Tydfil on a contract with Danisco cardboard. The yard and factory was on Pant ind est next to the A465 road.

Apparently theres no truth in the rumour that it was caused by a ‘special device’ the unions had installed in the westbound tunnel years ago to safegaurd workers in the Abbey steelworks by stopping coil being moved into Wales. Export only. :slight_smile:

i was out and about in the truck today, i met up with steelboyf10 at trafanaubach.there was traffic chaos.having seen the picture,i can see why.good to hear the driver is ok.

Thanks for that link Ian58 brought back some memories i had two stints working for mechelle and geoff. I found them good to work for but they did have a high turn over of drivers

yes mate,she’s a double drive with a 525 ■■■■■■■ and owner kelvin powell loves it :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: that was a bloody good cab on those ecx’s.
