Some pics of roads in kenya/Tanzania 2 weeks ago , woundnt advise any company to go overland , you would have a hard time and transit though Sudan would take 6 months just for permit!!! , after that you would be paying alot of fines and invented rules, in one day from Dar es salaam to Mombassa on aten hour jouney got stopped 6 times and payed 100gbp just in cash to shut them up , giving a copper a weeks wage every time ■■? then had to give 3 of em a lift to the Border!!! :open_mouth:

Thanks Malc  for sorting that out, I didn’t even have time to rectify it  . That Fagan and Whalley Scania must of had a good belly tank.
Which reminds me, I was having a sort out of the old photo shoebox yesterday and I came acroos a photo of B587 VNF before it was converted to PET regs. Which tanker thread was it that you posted your photo of the 321 M.A.N.

Regards Steve.

any help please , been asked to drive a truck from here to joannesburg , what routes would you take , as far as i thought it was to dangerous to drive all the way ,

I went down as far as Botswana via West Africa back in 1990 with Dragoman they are still doing trans Africa but not the same route. Lots of no go areas for Brit passport holders now.

It would probably have been on the Norman Lewis Tankers (especially for wheelnut) thread.

Stick it on here when you get the chance please.
