So you think you know where all the Speed camera's are?

darkseeker:
Mike-c’s got a point but I’m with rog on this one, everyone could happily do 100mph on the motorway all day long until some twonk cuts another up who reacts badly and causes a pile up, speeding is definately a problem but the standard of driving is what’s causing accidents.

It’s much easier to try to force people to go so slow that even the worst drivers have time to “get away with it” if you see what I mean.

That’s what the yanks thought until they found that more people were getting involved in serious accidents with a 55 mph limit than they were with no limit and the 75 mph limit of today and the rate of accidents for cars running on unlimited autobahns is even lower than the yanks had at 55 mph even though traffic densities are higher.Just listen to the radio reports every day those worst drivers don’t get away with it at any speed.

For a satellite to pick you up you’d need a tracker fitted to your vehicle - the only role they can play in this setup is providing location and time data to the cameras. It’s basically the m/way average cameras coming to a street near you.

Bend the truth, attract more readers, earn more ad revenue

all you need is one of these when you find one of those scameras

I can’t see how you would paint a satellite?

You could always paint over your numberplate though :bulb:

The camara still has to read your number plate, so it can transmit the information. Unless they start fitting transmitters to vehicles.

I know they say it’s for road safety or CCTV is for our safety and if we’ve done nothing wrong we have nothing to fear, but they same could be said of those who lived behind the Iron Curtain, but we in the West still condemend the regimes for the extreme levels of survilence on thier citizens, whilst feeling smug that we would never have to put up with such high levels of survilence in our Country.

Maybe the OLD Labour(party of the people,YEAH RIGHT) government had it on trial but if you read on you’ll see this: http://uk.autoblog.com/2010/06/18/mps-promise-to-stop-funding-speed-cameras make of it what you will??
