Sitting in a cab on your own a lot

commonrail:
Sitting alone on a cab is child’s play.
Currently sitting in a small tent…in the rain…on my own…pursuing a fish that I’m not totally sure,exists.

In common perhaps with a lot of others, I actually enjoy being on my own in the cab. I’m fortunate to have a boss who leaves me alone to get on with the job, and that element of trust (which has to be mutual) is vital if you’re going to get the best out of it. That’s not to say I don’t like people or talking to them; just that I like to do it when it suits me.

Purgatory, for me, would be double manning with a bloke who’s boring. Odd occasions in my last job I got saddled with another driver to take down to another mill in order to pick up a lorry; he was one of those who’d been there 40 years but had never enjoyed a single day of it, and after three hours of listening to his permanent whinging I was glad to see the back of him.

The times i sit listening to people not just truck drivers anyone talk bolocks and thinking i wish you would shut up n foff
silence is golden

I`m perfectly capable of arguing and falling out with myself of a daily basis

I shall be glad, when I’m too old to enjoy this.
