shunt button

nope on the renault jn90 there was a way of knocking the brakes off by going underneath this was on a rigid nothing like Volvos brom button

so the best bet is to connect the lines to move a trailer? sounds idiot proof and thats what i have always done anyway. unfortunately, im only getting class 2 jobs anyway :unamused:
still class 1 wages though

your neck of the woods too Jim. i ran from south queensferry on friday and tomorrow im running out of livingston

You could push the shunt button just to move the trailer and when you park it put the red air line on which will knock the shunt out and put the brake back on but it seems a pointless way to do it…

This is getting confusing. - On all of the trailers I’ve tried it on, if you disconnect all air lines & push the shunt button the trailer will move. Reconnect either airline & the shunt button immediately pops back to apply the trailer brakes as normal. In either situation the trailer brake will work to stop the trailer. IMHO I’ve always assumed (as in making an ‘■■■ of u & me’) that the whole point of the shunt button was to be able to move the trailer without having to attach any air lines, otherwise it’s pointless.
