Not the type of bike I’d think of as collectible, so makes me wonder how it’s only done 6000 miles in nigh on 20 yrs , saw it other day
I was having my not sensible head on , so bad shoulder etc , so what , 10’yrs old but still looks stunning to my eyes , I think kawasakis should be green , but could live with this , do love my sports bikes
I just can’t remember parking a bike up for the winter , I must of done but can’t remember do any preventative stuff , I put it away under a cover but a lad said you should always brim the tank as if you don’t you will get corrosion in the tank , so uncovered it and taking it down to fill up , always put e5 in it which he said was ok
Going to have to have a good read of preventative measures for a motorbike parked up for winter as don’t want a rusting wreck when I take cover off , about to give a good wipe
Two cans of WD40 sprayed liberally over every surface will suffice Ady. Absolute bit4h to wash off in spring, but it’ll protect it like nothing else.

Make sure you give the seat a good wipe in the spring,Ady, hate for you to slid off first time out! 
At least WD40 on seat will prevent a ‘squeaky bum’ if he almost loses it on a corner.

Bit pricey but sounds a impressive bit of kit for the road , not that I know much about motorcycle engine tuning

I didn’t bother with anything much except a full tank of fuel and a good wash beforehand, but I had a breakdown at the start of a holiday that scuppered the trip, turned out to be a split rubber hose in the tank by the fuel filter, so have started using fuel stabiliser. Although I will use e10 generally, e5 before parking up for winter probably is worth it too, as the bio element I think is the issue.

n next one , though it probably won’t be ridden until March so no rush
Neighbour has sold his Ktm super adventure & brought a Suzuki gt750 ( old kettle ) & a Kawasaki zib 900 , look mint , couldn’t believe the prices when I looked , but he said he wanted something to tinker with now he’s retired
