The part of the pistons outside the gaiter is always exposed.
The gaiter is there to protect the piston. The portion of the piston it does not cover it does not protect.
The gaiter is located by a groove in the piston. It should not move along the piston as the pads wear.
Mine. I use it for commuting to and from work only. Problem being that is a massive 4 miles per week and I’m constantly getting alerts on my phone that the main battery urgently needs charging, so then I take it on a completely unnecessary drive to charge it. Perhaps a pushbike would be better!
We chose this compact MG SUV because of the high seating position, It makes getting in & out really easy for us as my missus struggles more than me.
