The part of the pistons outside the gaiter is always exposed.
The gaiter is there to protect the piston. The portion of the piston it does not cover it does not protect.
The gaiter is located by a groove in the piston. It should not move along the piston as the pads wear.
Mine. I use it for commuting to and from work only. Problem being that is a massive 4 miles per week and I’m constantly getting alerts on my phone that the main battery urgently needs charging, so then I take it on a completely unnecessary drive to charge it. Perhaps a pushbike would be better!

Yeah I read that the MG 5 is going to be replaced too, The replacement for the MG ZS EV is out this year too, it’s called the MG S5.
If I have to buy an ev used I’ll go for another MG5 or a like
But needs must at the moment as mother was struggling with the MG getting in and out
We chose this compact MG SUV because of the high seating position, It makes getting in & out really easy for us as my missus struggles more than me.
The Rover 75 we had for many years just got too hard to get in & out of, it was like sitting on the floor.
I’d take the Blade, but it’d be considered as overkill and I’d also look a right berk with my quilt and spare clothes flapping around behind me

4 miles per week. Thats a great commute.
It’s less than a mile from house to the yard. Sometimes I have no nights out, sometimes I’ll have as many as four! The mileage varies wildly
Question for you. Do modern bikes now have too much power? Was looking on MCN at some of the new superbikes… like over 200bhp straight out of the box!
