I can’t claim this one to be my own it actually originated from an un-named director of this site.
…and it was said to a 7’ giant who had just spent all weekend polishing his extended T cabbed pride and joy
I don’t care how much you polish it, it will never be a Volvo
Wheel Nut:
We have been threatened with them, I would sooner keep my RenaultI am working on the bloke who buys trucks to try MAN or give me a DAF
At the moment we have Renault, Volvo and Scania with some Dafs on the French contracts and tanks
Malc, take a tip from DAFMAD, don’t ask for MAN’s or ERF’s. You’ll be going downhill not uphill, if you see what I mean.
Go for DAF’s or Volvo’s.
You won’t be sorry.
There is nothing wrong with MAN, I have mostly driven them for the last 12 years. I like my DAF because they havent altered them for a long time, the engines are still based on a DKS
Volvos are ok if they dont get FM. that is why I suggested MAN
Anything as long as they arnt Scania
There is nothing wrong with MAN
Umm,
I beg to differ there Mate, worse than Renaults IMHO.
DAF, DAF, DAF. CF 85 Space Cab is a fine choice if they want to save a few pennies.
Steve! Your signature spoils your argument!!!
It mentions ACTROS

Yeah, the Actros is as low as I want to go, but that is way ahead of MAN and Scania. We’ll have to agree to differ then.
BTW, Scania lost the plot when they stopped making the 3-series, IMHO
Just had the pleasure of driving an 04 plate Merc Actros with the EPS box and was pleasently suprised (or I was when I found the button to get it out of nuetral and the middle of the road in front of the yard ). with 22 tonnes, it is a very nice motor to drive. Well, I liked it anyway

Yeah they’re lovely until you show them an uphill climb then they curl up and die.
I like the Mega-space but it’s not a wagon for back roads - too tall for my (sometimes) enthusiastic driving and sways about too much. Nice on runs though although the V8 480 lump I had couldn’t pull the skin off a rice pudding.
Cheers.
Had an Actros with EPS, fine accellerating, just trying to keep the engine braking under control was a nightmare. Scania can’t design a cab to save their business, it’s only the fact the rest of the truck is so good that saves them.
I vote: Volvo over everything, Then Foden, then Daf 3rd. Keep those MAN’s and new “ERF’s” and Renaults, and burn the lot of them please.
Then Foden
LMFAO
You might as well have an ERF,as they share a similar drivetrain. ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Fodens, hmmmmm, stall every five munites if I remember rightly
