Shocking Royal Mail Driver

It should be pointed out that it would be perfectly normal for a 16’2" trailer to approach the tollbooths on the right side as much as possible. If it was this guys first run this route with such a trailer, they might have heard instructions banging on about “keeping right on approach” - but not so many instructions on “The right hand lanes are Cars Only”…

In any case, you find yourself too far to the right… Wot you gonna do? Sit there indicating left, and hope for some mercy, or just barge in?

If the driver is from London - that answer is self-evident. The registration, however, suggests the vehicle at least is not.
(I’ve driven this tractor, and I’ve never worked out of any London VOC)

The other clip is a very old one, and the only other action that might have been taken by the “barged off road RM artic” would be to come to a complete stop on the hard shoulder. TO brake hard, and attempt swerving in behind would throw up so much dust, as to be a danger to the traffic behind, especially the ■■■■ with the camera who is a tad close to a pair of artics that could swerve or brake hard at any point… I’m not saying that “barging back on” is right - just the lesser of various evils.

Steevo:
Obviously you have to be careful when cutting across, but nothing wrong with using the 4th lane, its not motorway.

I think its more that the sign implies CAR’s only

Leave them alone, I luv RM:)

typical rm driver theyre all ■■■■’s I had one on m6 Tuesday night 1/2 mile before the end of the roadworks he goes into lane 3 well above the speed limit cutting drivers up on the way there don’t seem enough hrs in the day for them they are obviously paid too much

Not motorway so 4th lane ok to use. With 16’2 trailer they need to use the right hand bore so he has obviously Ben told to keep to the right. It’s only as you approach the tolls you see its cars only in the right hand most lanes.

So you were the driver in both instances then.

So the correct thing to do is force his way across then because of his mistake?

How’s he going to get across then? Like everyones going to wait for him?

The vast majority of RM drivers are tossers, from my experience with them on the road anyway.

It’s like the other morning I was coming up the M1 to the Aberford bypass where the A1(M)/M1 come together, ■■■■■■■■ in a tanker got himself into lane 3 to join lane 1 and forced me to move over, he got a face full of full beam. This happens far too often and I hope the roza’s get these idiots one day.

I would send those pics to RM.

Gotta love the commentary, like she’s taking tourists on some kind of tour

With the thread title I thought it was going to show an RM driver doing something skilled, competent and considerate.

Thats last you tube clip looks like Middleton Road / Woodbridge A25 if Im not mistaken Terry

How the hell did he miss the bridge heights … one on the bridge he hit and another on the road sign on the turning on to the road…its marked up as 15ft… :open_mouth:

No, and No.

I merely worked at the yard the double decker combination is from. :sunglasses:

Too late. I left 4 years ago, so there’s nothing to see now. :grimacing:

Calm down princess, I was just having a laugh.

And I was just making a point sweetpea. X

And you think his driving was acceptable do you? Too many drivers use ‘its London innit’ as an excuse for driving like ■■■■■■ There is no reason to drive like this, start indicating, pull in behind the car and gently make your intentions known, not barging people out of the way.
