I can remember that truck, i think the o/d that ran it used to sub for barry proctor
if i am right he spent a small fortune on it including fitting a daf super space cab and i am sure the engine was upgraded to
I learned to bunny hop my way through an Eaton Twin Splitter in Stratos, when I was in the Army . The Stratos took over from the Scammell Crusaders
which had to happen at some point. They were double drive, standard height cabs with double bunks, I cant remember the HP
. They had the stereo cassettes in them, which was a bonus for a military vehicle
. We used them on low loader work, moving plant equipment around the UK and Germany. I will try to dig out some photos of the old girls, but I’m sure someone on here will have some of the Army Stratos. It was great fun, I loved every minute driving the Seddon Atkinson Stratos

Does anyone remember Martin Bennet? I believe he had a K plated Strato, re cabbed with a 95ssc. Still looked like a Strato, proper smart. I believe he was pulling blocks for Barry Proctor. ( this maybe inaccurate, but it definatly existed)
