Harry after seeing this Foden it reminded me of two jobs i used to do up your way. one was Fosters bricks and the other was a
refactory brick works. to get to the refactory brick works i went past fosters and turned left and i think this place was on the left
in a couple of miles but i can’nt think where Fosters was now.I can remember going through Coundon before there was a bypass
but after that i’am lost.I’ve looked on google earth and it looks like a brick works on Long lane Newfield would that be Fosters in the
late 70s

There is Dyson Refactories works on Wear View in Hunwick. Go past Newfield Brick works, down the bank, over the river, up the other side to the T junction. turn left into Willington, thru Willington then turn left for Hunwick, comes up on the left down the side of the houses. I’m sure it used to be called Pickford Hollands years ago.

hiya …AndrewV8 i think i’ve got it now…the’ve done a stack of building around that area now. and a bypass so when i googled Newfield
i got a bit lost. thanks.
John

Dyson Refractories had a stake in Pickford Holland years ago,and P H had a place near Totley,Sheffield.
There was a haulier from Crook Co. Durham called H.Tarren and they did a lot of work out of the place you mention near Willington.
