Yes Alan,taken at Maltby.I was just starting my shift shunting and couldn’t get sod all done until they’d all cleared off late that afternoon. :laughing:

A667XMR and A668XMR came to BRT Cardiff from Bulwark they had full hydraulics for the pump and compressor.I had A667 for about 2 years doing resin from cray valley and Silicon from Dow,Barry to Italy and Germany.She was a flyer!!

Pat great stuff as usual, read in one of your posts that you had a spell of breaking Scania 80s, have got to thank you for that i drove a very early 80 for Bowkers in the late 60s would have been a great motor up to about 6 wheeler rigid but at 32 ton in articulated form was a load of rubbish and the hot spanner was the best thing to befall them, good on yer mate.

Pat,I used to move those crushers, tandam and tri axles. I bet that took some getting out,always top heavy and the older ones no hydraulic legs or brakes :smiley: :smiley: That track shovel was it a Komatso, used to move a Cat D8 trackshovel not many of those around as I believe they only made a hand full.

hi bubbles, greats pic’s as usual,i remember that Ellis,commer and trailer, it used to cut in something terrible, people would step back from the curb when it exited a T junction or crossroads, :unamused: :unamused: won’t belong till you hit the ton mark, :laughing: :laughing: bumper

One of Mark Comptons LHD FH12’s of Poole hit the back of an STS trailer one of mine was pulling in Portugal in the wet!!! Driver was lucky only had a broken ankle I think!

Converted an ex Molo’s Scania 110 daycab to a sleeper using the back of a smashed Sparks of Glastonbury 141 cab!

Only new Scania I ever had KOW 496Y a 388 142 4X2 seen here as I picked it up from Morville Trucks Lutterworth with the 111 I traded in

Hiya …heres two old timers i saw at the Yovil show 25 years ago


Heres a nice yank it was in Penticton in 1982 the trailer looks short but in these days the pulled three trailers

Now for a couple of DAFs you know i like them


last is a scammell one my mate dave owened. it started life in Wrexham and when the driver of many years retired
he took the lorry with him.the paint work was maroon at this time. has anyone any idea whos it was■■?.
