Hi Marcus so sorry to hear your bad news but please don’t give up I too have started to use ‘Tinypic’ and I think all my pics have stayed on this new formatted forum.
I think you have to use the img code see here.

Ah, the saviour! I had just logged on to say I noticed the pic’s on the Southhampton thread all seem ok. Was going to ask Ainacs if he could help sort this thread out and he has already posted. Well done that man. 
Denis F : With your knowledge of computers, I am sure it is hard for you to grasp how us old boys can be so thick. but please try to realize some of us have been shown how to turn a computer on, type into Google or get on ebay and thats about it. We may furkle about a bit and find something new each day, some we remember some we don’t! A lot of us only stumbled on this site, since then finding a great deal of pleasure, but telling us to click on these Ings and things, well it’s like you looking at something in Russian. (ok now tell me you can read that too) 
We may well be able to work through it in time but it is not enjoyable then so defeats the object of coming on here and we are at the age where things disturb us more than they used to. 
So please Mods help out our disgruntled posters, make us all happy again, I’m sure these problems can be sorted.

Firstly can I apologise for the gremlins, In every upgrade there is always things that dont work right straight off and need to be worked on, the inability of this forum to stretch to accomodate large images is one that we are aware of and looking into.
The reason I have not been in here sooner is that I was up all night saturday with the actual upgrade, Sunday night I spent helping as many folks as possible who had forgotten their log ins (and there was a lot) and today I had to drive to London for all day meetings tomorrow. No single person can cover all the posts in a website of this size, Denis is a Site Admin and I believe is doing his best to help with temporary fixes until we get the coding sorted right.
With any change there will always be some who are unhappy/dislike it, when we moved many years ago to the last forum from a UBB there was also a lot of uproar. But sometimes change must come, the last forum was old and outdated and vunerable to being destroyed by a malicious hacker, this version closes the security holes that the last one had. If we didnt close those holes there is a chance we could get hacked and lose not only this thread, but every single other thread on the forums dating back to 2003. That was not a risk we were prepared to take.
Pleaes bear with us while we address the glitches with the site, it may take a while but we have noted them and they are on the to do list

When you copy the codes from Tinypic use the 2nd box that says IMG Code for forums and Message Boards and everything should work

Hi Marcus (Bubbleman), Sorry to hear about you being made redundant, that’s a real downer, hope things pick up for you sooner rather later. Your thread has been the best going for a long time and has brought back memories for loads of us ‘oldies’. It’s also good to see that admin; has taken on the complaints about the new format and have obviously put a lot of effort into sorting out the glitches. I’m sure that the upgrade to the forum was absolutely necessary because of the way technology moves on and changes, sometimes overnight, leaves us all vulnerable to malicious hackers 
I personally am not keen on the new format but I’m sure I will get used to it and once the little glitches are sorted these initial hiccups will be forgotten and we will all carry on as usual.
I’m just glad you are not deserting TNUK, Marcus, and look forward to seeing a lot more of your collection also big thanks to Denis F & Rikki and everyone else involved in keeping the forum secure and updated but also for listening to forum member’s rant’s even though none of us pay for the use of this site and I do think that needs to be taken into consideration, it is free for us all to use and that is not always the case with some of the forums on owd t’internet.
