That’s Camden High St, the Trolley Bus is heading towards Chalk Farm ( Camden Lock) and the Zodiac is turning left into Parkway
I can just make out the old Bedford Theatre in the distance, below the Boots sign is a Butchers my Mother used frequently, she used to get me sliced Liver Sausage from there for my Canal Fishing Sandwiches…

No recollection of having seen that Austin Princess during my eight-year stay in London (1965-73). It looks like a “low-cost” Rolls-Royce; were many produced?
I remember the time when Ron Amey ( Chairman, Amey Group) came into Sutton Courtenay whilst i was re fuelling my car and asked me to fill up this demo Austin Roller for him, i told him it was steaming from underneath did he know, he was never short of words ,needless to say we never saw it again, i would also like to know how many were actually sold- -toshboy
Between 1947 when production began until 1968 when it ended around 12,000 models of the various types were produced.
Pete.
The Princess wasn’t so cheap! According to Wikipedia, its price was “little more than two-thirds of the Rolls-Royce”. Of course, as Star down under says, we French had the very smart and innovating Citroen ID and DS, launched in 1955 (a very good year), but the Princess nevertheless is very elegant.

Frankies Cafe / Fish & Chips (Frankie was the family name) virtually on the beach at South Shields. IIRC either Mr. Frankie was Italian or his predeccessors were. Stretching my memory now but I think his Daughter or Grandughter was a keen horse rider / show jumper who owned a few steeds, we used to transport them to local gymkhanas and shows.

A lovely very British-looking coach as I love them. Any more information about it? Thanks!

Hi, I believe that the coach is a Bedford, with Bella Vega bodywork by Duple. Cheers, Ray.
The double deck bus is passing the Crooked Billet pub on Scotswood Road Newcastle. Lord Armstrongs Elswick works can be seen on the other side of the road. There was a lot of pubs on the roadside with names connected to heavy engineering such as the Patent Hammer and IIRC the Forge Hammer.
