Aren’t Donnell & Ellis in the heavy haul game? Wouldn’t have thought that a 4x2, and a pricey one at that, would be much use to them unless these limited edition jobbies come in other configurations? Could be wrong, I have been once before.
Think this amber edition looks smart though, even in the brown I mean amber colour, I wouldn’t say no.
You can get the Dark Diamonds in different axle configurations, i have seen a picture of the loane and donnell trucks and they arent 4x2.
I think that looks smart, not a massive fan of the colour though. I can’t comment on what Scanias are like to drive or live with but i really like them, always have. Hopefully in a couple of years i will get the chance to own one.

sorry mate i have done europe away for 3-4 weeks away at a time in a daf but would never dream of doing it in a scania . i dont think my back would take it

loanes is a 620 6x2 mid lift and donnells is a 620 6x2 tag axle.
The black diamonds look like [zb] Way over priced, why not go and but a plain 620 and do what you want with it, atleast that way u’d have a totally unique truck.
seems alot of haters on here for scania’s never mind cant all have good taste eh i love them… would have a scania over anything else on the road… if u want a truck to do the job and do it well no bother just do it right and get the best SCANIA ALL THE WAY!!!

if scania would sort out the bed and the seats/driving position then yes i would be inclinded to agree with u that they are the best, but the most important part of the truck is the worst part of a scania…otherwise nothing wrong with them. this is where a daf excels over a scanny especially in the bed department

would have to agree with you on the bed in the ‘R’ series… i havent had a XF so cant comment on them but the bed in my 4 series topline is fantastic… ultra comfy… mega wide… only one problem is the head room… but you dont sleep sitting up eh lol i find the ‘high back’ seats also very comfy…
the beds on the xf are mega thick. its simple things that scanny could sort and i wouldnt mind driving one tbh. but i hate driving them if i have to…luckily not had to in a while

i love driving the one im in lol i used to drive a daf before… cf… seats were ok… the high back seats are great in the scanny imo… the top bed is too comfy lol i dont like getting out of it in the mornings… the retarder is brill too… even fully loaded…

Gogzy, i think you are getting the retarder and the exhaust brake mixed up, the exhaust brake, under the left foot, is pretty crap with a manual transmission, and useable with an automatic transmission, but not the best to be honest, whereas the retarder on the cruise control stalk is excellent in the XF with the auto

oh i wish i had my camera in beauvais the other week when one broke down and scania could not get the part there for 2 days lol or the time in boulogne when one of campbells was laid up for 3 days with a electrical fault !!

unless any of the 13 are paid for in cash then the owners are mostly the european tax payers now they’ve bailed out the irish financial system maybe they could have swapped some of the free cheese they got off the government to pay for them
