As far as the UK was concerned at the time the 112 was launched in late '81,the P112 had the 280 bhp non-intercooled engine, the R112 had the non-intercooled 305 bhp engine later on both these engines were intercooled.I don’t know if they ever fitted the 280 engine into the R cabbed chassis, well they didn’t for the UK market as far as I re-call.Cheers Bewick.

is a intercooler front on it ,that in 85 had 330 scandinavian hp whit 3series 310 and 360 turbocompound 380

I think its an intercooled version as the non intercooled R cab i had was fitted with a flat scania badge i think the intercooled versions had what looks like a vent behind them,… i could be wrong though i`m sure someone will correct me if i am

The early non intercooled P&R cabs had a flat grille profile whereas the Intercoolers had a Grille that sloped out a bit from the top panel of the grille.Engine bhp’s were IIRC P82’s—215 and 230,P83’s 250 and 275,P112’s 280,P113’s 305 and 330 ( designated 340) R112’s 305 and 330.The 250 bhp engine was used in the rigids I think,no doubt someone will have a better recollection than my brain cell although I could put a shot of each one of the aforementioned engined motors on the thread if needs be .Cheers Bewick.

Thanks for the replies chaps, its a bit strange for me to see a 112m with a 280 motor in it. Its a 1985 but its an import because its reg now is GFK so was imported up to two years ago. like the V8 badge though on a 280 lol.
