A drawbar from a truckshow 2011
Proper job Dan, thanks for posting that!
I know its not a 141, but still a nice example, think it is still in existence. He used to do Italy I believe. My first ever engine rebuild as an apprentice mechanic was on a 111 of Joda Freight, just down the road from Arthur Green`s.
Now wouldn’t this be nice ownership. It has been advertised for months - I’ve been watching it all along and keeps being refreshed every now and then.
Here is the site: countryshed.com.au/showAd.ph … location=Z
Some beautiful details… Aussie-spec snorkel, old-style ignition key (very much looks like the one on my 1973 IH-Mc Cormick tractor), chrome dials, Aussie-spec 20sp Spicer gearbox, and of course massive kangaroo bar. I only imagine the symphony from that straight exhaust.
And most importantly it looks in very decent condition.
Frankly if it wasn’t half an earth away and likely un-importable due to spec incompatibilities, I might have given it a serious look, next to my 142
MOC:
Hi MOC,do you remember when P&O used to run hanging garments out of Orsett. They had 111s all with a straight 5speed box. They were horrific.Love the pics btw.

+1…but those back wheels look OK?
I hadn’t noticed them Harry, until you mentioned it, they look like ordinary wheels - strange!
Strange indeed. It would look better if it had Trilex all round. Oh, hello Bill!
