That’s how I do it now, within the boundaries of the law of course…Honest

I don’t know anything about this one, but by the way it’s sitting I reckon it’s on air suspension

The 3 series fuel tank looks good too

Check out the steering wheel on this beauty :sunglasses:

Looks like one from an LB76 ?

Modern fuel tanks & low profiles too Mark, nearly LEZ compliant I’ll bet…

Just leave the number plate on the front, automatic LEZ ā€˜compliance’

Found this on you tube

as it says on the front of the Abbella one Ford they are only a Swedish D1000.

Hi Bill (LB76),

Any idea why the tank trailer is so long? Was there some rule about axle spread? There seem to be plenty of phots of shorter trailers on the old Scandinavian lorries and I assume they ran at maximum weight.

I’m no expert but , i think and i stand to be corrected, that there was an internal or national limit in Sweden (Autotransit can put us right) that did not apply to international traffic (obviously).

We had a vehicle limit of 24 meters in Sweden before we got 25, 25 meters some years ago. Until the late sixties it was allowed with vehicles up to 32 meters… and some times more :grimacing: . Finland had 22 meters until they got 25,25 meters to. So it was impossible to leave Sweden with those trucks at the photo. In Norway it“s 19 meters, but on some roads it“s allowed with 25,25 aswell.
