:sunglasses: Little Selection.

The next to the last in that set , Buxton Limestone owned by Harry H Coff head office Windsor . I worked there for a while and may even have fetched that Scammel from Windsor to Buxton , I fetched a few and some Rievers . A bit of a wide boy , mr Coff , made a fortune out of gravel pits on the M4 corridor and then sold the land for the construction of the M4 . He reactivated a disused quarry and when local pressure became too much he sold out to Limmer and Trinidad who became part or Tarmac . The Scammels were 680 leyland with David Brown 6 speed , and sods in the wet empty with super singles on the drive axles . Dave

Yes that’s the company scamm , we used to travel down on the train to pick new lorries up from Windsor . there was a lot going on then , Manchester airport runway extension and we had the contract for all the stone for the roads in Knowsley Safari Park . we also had half a dozen leyland badger units with Neville dump trailers , which I was on . cracking motors when they weren’t throwing the fan through the rad . Oh to be as young and crazy again . Dave
