I had never seen so many Kromhouts in the same day! Thanks for all these interesting pictures.

A MOL 6x6 tractor hauling a tramway carriage to the scrapyard in Jemeppe, Belgium. Would any of you know what’s the make and model of the car which is between the Ford Taunus 12M and the NSU Prinz?

Hi Monsieur Froggy, I am not certain, but the middle car might be Simca, Regards, Ray.

I think it might be a very early model of an Audi or DKW. I have not got time right now to Google it! The shape is Simca ish but I do not think it is one.

The shape is indeed close to Simca, but the lights do not match. In fact it’s an early Audi, more exactly an Audi 60 model 1966. Thank you both for your suggestions.

Thank you for this input and possibly it’s the same company that ran ERF as well, unknown if that was a 5MW or 7MW or even a recabbed version, but the company was from Jemeppe-region. Hopefully more details will come

Bon soir Monsieur,

Thank you for another picture…Mondia was wellknown in France and Belgium with branch-offices
in Antwerp, Gent, Eupen etc…and I assume/hope the possible ERF was a subcontractor for Mondia
just like Wagner of Jumet did quite some heavy loads for local Caterpillar.

Salutations distinguées,

A-J

Attached another Mol

MOL-Mondia.jpg

Yes indeed, Mondia was a big transport firm, but I think they have disappeared, maybe cannibalised by a big competitor. The MOL on your picture looks brand new, and different from the one on my picture, unlesse of course its roof was raised and repainted. I suspect these 6x6 tractors were built from WW II surplus vehicles as were in France the Loheac? Thanks for the pictures and comments!

I recall that Mondiawas absorbed into TPG and later into Jost

Mondia in France had a big branch in Strasbourg mainly for transport and removal Here a Bernard with an Eylert semi-trailer.

Interesting photo’s of Mondia lads! Click on the attached link for more footage.

Fitted with the cab dear old Fergie is chuffed about

You’ve scored some points there Johnny

Bit unusual to see a chinese 6 set-up in France?

Scenes from the 70’s and 80’s with some exotics thrown in for good measure…
